Chester Pastoral Council

Since 2001, clergy and lay people from the Chester and District parishes met together as Chester Pastoral Council to consider matters of joint interest. It sought to foster joint approaches to the changing pastoral needs of the area, and also to combine efforts in meet local training requirements. It introduced The Chester Catholic as a three-times-per-year newsletter to carry various items of interest.
The Chester Pastoral Council proved to be the forerunner to the current Chester Pastoral Team which was set up in October 2007 as part of the Diocesan initiative for establishing Local Pastoral Areas across the Diocese.
