The Chester Pastoral Council meets three times a year, the venue moving around the district.
Each parish is represented by a priest and one elected lay member. The Team also includes one Deacon (nominated by the Deacons within the Area) and a Teacher and a Catechist (nominated by the Bishop). The Team elects a priest and a lay person to serve as Co-Leaders.
The Team serves for a period of two years (from October 2007) this period being renewable once.
